Pacific Coast Highway / Highway 1

LA to San Francisco: This is not your regular highway road-trip.

Not that I have travelled the whole world, but I highly doubt that there is any other highway this pretty! So, here I present the world’s most scenic highway – “The Pacific Coast Highway.”

You will be doing yourself a favor, because if you haven’t done this, you have no idea what you are missing in this life!

After living in Dallas for more than 5 years, this is my first time ever being this close to the Coast. I didn’t know place like this exist in States. Apparently, I was living my everything-big-in-Texas life.

This blog is my Pacific coast photography collection, I hope you will enjoy it!

So morning started with the short walk to the ocean.

We should understand that the pictures don’t do justice. Your eyes, ears and touch are the one and only best way to experience nature. That morning mist on your face, that refreshing air, that alluring sound of the ocean, those birds chirping, that early morning highway covered with fog, everything has their own story to tell, you just have to listen carefully. Try to learn the language of the nature while you are here!

Then the birds and the flowers started coming to the sight.

Most of them were sleeping, some were swimming and playing. Some literally told me to stop taking picture LOL. Beautiful sea lions and seals.

Don’t rush, take your time to look at them carefully, each of them have interesting characters and doing their things in their natural habitats. This will make you feel guilty for keeping them inside zoos for peoples entertainment.

This was the moment, I lost myself and gain so much more!

God knows how happy I am watching these big waves trying to catch the shore, hitting hard on the rocks back and forth in the rhythm of its natural beat. The cool coastal breeze on your face and the sound of the waves, trust me you won’t be ready to leave this place anytime soon once you get here.

And flowers should have their own gallery. These wild flowers are so pretty, but you don’t know they were in existence before this moment.

I was not ready to leave this place, decided to make some coffee and enjoy the view before hitting the road. Here the temperature was perfect, it was little cloudy, little foggy, almost dreamy.

This is the most scenic bridge in the world and the famous one I bet, The Bixby Bridge.

Don’t forget to stop in every chance you get and do the sight-seeing, thats what this highway is all about. You should stop checking your phone, forget about the destination and let everything go slow and try to blend in. There will be only you and nature in peace, even around the people.

Isn’t this the power human being crave for, to be present in the moment!?

This was first time but surely won’t be last. Due to Covid-19 many of the state parks, beaches and popular attractions were close and also totally avoiding the crowed area, we were not able to explore a lot of the area but I enjoyed every bit of it.
