SIX PLACES YOU SHOULDN’T MISS WHILE IN OREGON
Crater Lake National Park was our first destination and I already fall in love with this state. I am telling, you haven’t seen blue like this!
The park is a relatively small park. Since most people come to see the famous deep blue lake, it’s entirely possible to fully experience the views by driving around the rim, take a short hike, see the visitors center and be out of the park in half a day. But it’s easy to get lost in this beautiful blue lake.
This is a picture of perfect summer day. Pretty summer bloom, cool breeze, warm sun and chill lake water. We spent a night in Diamond Lake Campground. Surrounded by conifer trees along the east shore of mile-high Diamond Lake, this campground offers social lakeshore camping and several more secluded inshore sites. One of the most beautiful campground I have ever camped in.
I had been dreaming about his hot spring as long as I can remember and here I finally did it. Can’t say how excited I was for this visit. I would do it again!
This collection of geothermal pools sit right on the edge of a rock face, spilling 105-degree water into the North Umpqua River below. This hot spring is world-wide famous and people come to visit from different part of globe. So you should know what is it all about.
Mt. Hood is simply perfect. You could just sit around and enjoy the scenery or you could choose many mind-blowing hikes to spend your day. Oh God, those mystical lakes and extraordinary falls I got to experienced in Mt. Hood, still doesn’t feel real.
This was in my bucket list for so long that there was no way I was not going to do it when in Oregon. There are so many cherry picking farms you can visit around Hood River area. The Hood River Valley is like cherry heaven if you love cherries like me. I was non-stop stuffing my face with cherries. Go read my Cherry Day blog for full tips.
You have to visit one of the Lavender field during your trip in Oregon. Magical Lavender field almost feels like a dream. The warm summer sun and soft wind made lavender extra pretty, the bees are so happy and the fragrance you would never want to get away from. This is real and we are blessed to enjoy such nature’s creation.
These are the six places we visited during our road trip in Oregon. You can learn more about each of them in my separate blogs linked. There were many other destinations planned but due to many reasons at the time, we had to go with the flow and make some changes accordingly. Oregon is blessed with nature. You will never have a dull sight. My next visit list for Oregon is already piling up.
